During the Jurassic time period in the Mesozoic era, plant eating dinosaur walked the land, with them also existed the squids, fishes and ferns.  As based on the movie titled "Jurassic Park" the Jurassic time period were mostly dominated by the plant eating dinosaur.  The carnivores (meat - eating dinosaurs) back then were small when compared to the plant eating ones and therefore did not dominate.  But after the Jurassic time period, the began to evolve from small carnivores to big carnivore dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus Rex (T - Rex).  Some dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic time period include the Brachiosaurus and Dilophosaurs.  Even the first birds were to appear in the Jurassic, the Archaeopteryx.  In the sea, lived cephalopods and the sharks, stingrays and crocodiles that we see now in the present day had also existed back then.  The Jurassic period was covered with a variety of plants.  These plants include ferns and conifers.

BOW 4 (Naturual Selection)

http://www.cosmosmagazine.com/files/imagecache/review/files/reviews/Young-Charles-Darwin.jpgNatural selection is one of the many basic mechanism of evolution when compared to mutation, migration and genetic drift.  It is the a process in nature where the organism has a certain genotype characteristics that help them benefit in its environment result to it surviving, reproducing and increase in its population and leads to the animal to pass on the specific genotype to its succeeding generations.  The desired heritable traits increase the the chances of an organism to better live, survive and reproduce when being compared to the less beneficial traits.  The idea of natural selection was first proposed by Charles Darwin and results to the evolution of organisms.
