BOW 1 (Transcription,Translation and Protein Synthesis)

http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/transcription.gifTRANSCRIPTION: During the process of transcription, the DNA begins to split in both left and right directions.  Then the promoters attach themselves to it.  After being attached, the promoters initiate RNA synthesis and makes a complement. This meaning the that the RNA synthesis begins.  The next step includes that the RNA synthesis stops.  Finally, the DNA zips back up.

PROTEIN SYNTHESIS:During the protein synthesis, the amino acids are connected to form peptides.  Later on they disconnect from the mRNA.  The polypeptide can either then form into sheets or a helix.  Both the sheets and helix shape fold to create proteins .
